Lindy Williamson, MSW

Lindy Williamson is the owner of LGW Consulting, LLC which provides life coaching, mediation services and training in Critical Incident Stress Management, Suicide Prevention and Disaster Counseling. As an instructor for the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation and the QPR Institute she teaches several courses each year and is often requested as a speaker on a variety of trauma subjects.

Lindy is on staff with the National Veterans Foundation training the veterans answering the crisis hotline and serves as one of their on-call therapists for veterans. She is also on staff at the Trident United Way 211 Crisis Hotline. Lindy is a counselor and instructor for the Mississippi Law Enforcement Peer Support Team and Clinical Director for the Horry County Fire Rescue Crisis Team. Having deployed to several national and international disasters she continues to volunteer for disaster response organizations.

Janet Schnell, MSW, LSW QPR Master Trainer

Janet Schnell holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Southern Indiana. She is the President of Survivors of Suicide of Dubois County, quilt organizer for American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, member of American Association of Suicidology, Indiana Suicide Prevention Coalition, and Dubois County Suicide Prevention Coalition. Janet was a past board member of Suicide Prevention Action Network.

As a suicide prevention trainer, Janet has worked with Girl Scouts, religious communities, teachers, students, law enforcement, hospital and human resource employees. Janet helped to develop QPR in a school system. She has been a Peer Trainer since 2002 and QPR Master Trainer since 2011. Janet is also a CALM suicide intervention and Connect Postvention trainer. She is a suicide loss survivor of her brother Kent’s suicide.
