Q: Why do you need to know my address?

A: In some courses such as the Competency, Practice, and Review course we send you a hard copy of your certificate.

Q: I did not receive an account activation email from QPR.

A: First check your spam box in your email account.  If you do not received your activation email within 24 hours please contact us.

Q: How do I register for the Online Counseling and Suicide Intervention Specialist Course?

A: If you are a part of an organization, they will provide you with your registration code.
If you independent of an organization enter "OCSIS Public" as your registration code.

Q: How do I change my password?

A: On the top menu click "Profile" then click "Update Your Profile, scroll down and enter your new password, then verify your password, click update at the bottom.

Q: I forgot my password or username how do I reset it?

A: Click here and follow the instructions.

Q: Can I change my user name?

No, the user name you picked at registration is encrypted in our database and linked to your account.

Certificate

How do I view my certificate?

Once you finish your 40 hour training, navigate to the course by clicking on "Training Course" on the top menu, select your course, on the left menu click on the "Grade Book" link and on the top right you will see the link "Print the certificate" click on that and you will find your certificate.

Q: Can I change the name on my certificate?

A: No. Once your certificate is generated it links the serial number with your account and name in an encrypted database.

Videos

Q: Why can't I download the training videos and watch them on my own computer?

A: In the past much of our material has been replicated and reproduced without permission. All material in this course is copyrighted (except where specific permission states otherwise) and therefore protected by federal and international law.

Q: The video is loading really slow, can you speed it up?

A: No, the video is loading slowly for two reasons.

1. You don't live in the United States where our servers are located.
2. You have slow internet connection speed.

Q: Do you have a transcribed version of the videos?

A: No, the transcripts would very long and we believe a balance of text, video, slides, and voice presentation address the multi-channel learning requirements for most adult learners.

Quizzes

Q: How many times can I take a quiz?

A: The quiz instructions will tell you before you begin. For most of the quizzes you only get two attempts.

Q: I failed all my quiz attempts, what do I do?

A: Email the individual who referred you to the training program requesting to have your quiz reset. We recommend careful note taking and diligent study.

Q: Why can't I see the answers to the questions I missed?

A: Providing you with the answers to the questions you missed would jeopardize the integrity of the quiz and, therefore, the quality of the training you are receiving. We follow the American Psychological Association's guidelines on test security.

Q: Why can't I see the answers to the quiz items when I am done?

A: Publishing examination item answers invalidates the test's utility and validity as a measure of learner progress for future learners. Should the answers to items become available to others, it would no longer be possible for the QPR Institute to state that the learner actually and fairly earned the certificate we award.
